Mathieu Bollier, also known as Mateo, has been illustrating the everyday lives of the Cité du Vin teams for years. At first, his sketches were only shared with a few of his closest colleagues, but over time, they made their way to all the team.
Through a curated selection of his drawings, he offers visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of la Cité du Vin, with a specific focus on the areas that they can discover during their visit.
This exhibition, that doesn’t take itself too seriously, highlights the four core values that define la Cité du Vin: conviviality, creativity, commitment and cooperation - values that our teams bring to life every day. It shines a light on the human side of the work that shapes our cultural offer.
Originally from Castres, he then studied graphic design in Toulouse. Surrounded by a family of art-lovers, his creativity was nurtured from a young age. It’s during his year working at Disney World Orlando that he starts drawing events from his day-to-day life. Throughout his travels, he hones his art and finds his own style and artistic identity. In 2018, he starts work at la Cité du Vin as a member of the ticketing and exhibition team. Today, he manages that very team, thriving in a role that fuels his creativity.
A free exhibition open to the public on the ground floor of the Cité du Vin.
