Useful information

On 4 February 2023, the Cité du Vin unveiled its new permanent Exhibition to its visitors, extensively redesigned and modified for the first time since its opening in 2016 (scenography, digital equipment, multimedia production).

To celebrate this event and highlight the many new features on offer in the Permanent Tour, La Fondation pour la culture et les civilisations du vin (which manages and develops the Cité du Vin) called on the talent of Mathieu Forget, also known as Forgetmat, a worldrenowned dancer and creative director with a passion for architecture, to provide his unique perspective on the Cité du Vin.

His light-hearted work, which honours the art of movement and levitation, with performances that defy the laws of gravity, perfectly echoes the emblematic and outstanding architecture of the Cité du Vin, designed with the movement of wine in mind.

The exhibition brings together 20 photographs taken by Mathieu

Forget in the permanent Exhibition, the Belvedere, the Auditorium, the Latitude 20 wine cellar and also on the Cité du Vin building itself.

The exhibition can be seen throughout the summer in the Garonne hall on the ground floor of the Cité du Vin.
