On June, 1st, 2016, the Cité du Vin welcomed its very first visitor...
Since then, more than 3.5 million of you have passed through its doors! You have explored its Permanent exhibition to discover the world of wine, through a journey through time and across all continents. You have tasted wines from more than 50 wine-growing regions around the world. You have experienced the rhythm of the seasons in Via Sensoria, the Sensory tasting journey. You have taken part in unique and varied cultural events with your family and friends...
And you are still thirsty for culture!
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Cité du Vin, the program for 2026 promises to be exceptional! Find all the major events on this page.
An exhibition that takes you on a journey around the world
For this anniversary year, come and (re)experience this immersive journey to discover wine in all its forms, from around the world!
In the interactive and sensory Permanent exhibition, you will have the opportunity to fly over vineyards, discover the wine-making process, virtually tread grapes, or even challenge yourself to recognize the scents that make up the aromas of wine.
And to end your visit on a high note, head to the Belvédère: a 360° panoramic view of Bordeaux, accompanied by a glass of wine from a selection of wines from around the world, or a glass of grape juice.
A new photo exhibition: spotlight on our partners
In the photo exhibition "Around the World in 50 Wine regions", discover the richness and diversity of the world's vineyards through an artistic journey!
Each photograph, selected by the Cité du Vin's wine partners, is a unique work that symbolizes its region: the power of a landscape, the presence of a gesture, the memory of a building, the life of a community.
A true ode to travel and wine heritage!

A tasting experience like no other
How about taking part in an experience that's very different from a traditional tasting?
The Via Sensoria Sensory tasting journey invites you to take a real sensory break, engaging all your senses.
For an hour, you'll follow a journey through pavilions themed around the four seasons, combining artistic displays with drinks and seasonal pairings.
In a small group and accompanied by a sommelier guide, you will taste four wines from the Bordeaux vineyards (or original non-alcoholic drinks) specially paired with the artistic worlds and the four seasons.
An anniversary weekend in June
An anniversary means a celebration!
Join us from June 4 to 7 for several days of unmissable events!
On the program: a free open house evening to discover the Permanent exhibition and the Belvedere (limited number of places), activities (tasting workshops, games, coloring, KAPLA workshop, etc.) on the theme of vines and wine, suitable for all audiences, including families, and a musical evening in the Gardens.

Special "10th anniversary" events
The two cultural seasons, from January to June and September to December, will also have their own "10th anniversary" touch, with events and themes related to the creation of the Cité du Vin.
On the program: our unmissable after-work tastings, which are always more delicious than ever, conferences, round tables, and symposiums on a variety of themes, meetings with personalities during the Grands Entretiens, two Ciné Gourmands, and a Grande Dégustation de Vins Bios (Organic Wine Great Tasting).
Also worth noting is the "Mediterranean Season" from September 30 to October 4, during which the Cité du Vin will bring together wines, cuisines, and music from the Mediterranean (Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia) with tastings, meetings, and festive evenings, in partnership with leading players in the field.
