The English-speaking activities to do at la Cité du Vin
La Cité du Vin is full of activities for our English-speaking public. The Permanent exhibition and few workshops are fully dedicated to the English language. So, whatever you do, don’t miss an opportunity to visit la Cité du Vin because of your mother tongue!
The Permanent exhibition available in eight languages:
Don’t forget that even as an English-speaker, you can enjoy la Cité du Vin as you want to.
La Cité du Vin invites you to take a voyage of discovery and enjoy a unique experience exploring the many and varied facets of wine across time and space.
A visit to the Permanent exhibition also includes the travel companion, a free and innovative tool available in eight languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Dutch), and the access to la Cité du Vin’s Belvedere, where you will discover a 360° view of Bordeaux whilst tasting a glass of world wine.
Wine tasting workshops at la Cité du Vin animated in English:
At la Cité du Vin it was important for us to deliver the history of wine to everybody, whether you are French or not. Therefore, workshops like “Bordeaux Workshop” and “Multi-sensory worshop” are entirely animated in English. Thus, mediators will guide you through delicious wine tastings and enthralling wine workshops. It makes possible for every foreigner who talks a little bit English to appreciate those workshops.
- Bordeaux workshop:
Come and sample Bordeaux, its history and its identity. Each vineyard’s reputation is built on a style, terroirs, grape varieties, expertise and methods developed by men and women over the course of centuries.
Daily at 5.30pm
- Multi-sensory workshop:
Enjoy a unique tasting experience. Seated comfortably in an immersive space (360° images, lights, sounds and smells), embark on a great journey to the heart of the world’s markets and experiment with pairings between virtual food and real wines.
A tasting which will awaken all your senses!
Daily at 2pm
La Cité du Vin opened for everyone:
