Presentation

In 1999, the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion was the first wine region to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape. Established in the 12th century by John Lackland, King of England, it is home to numerous wine landscapes and a collection of iconic monuments. Discover how it became the centre of wine tourism, culture, architecture and gastronomy that it is today, unique worldwide.

with:

  • Frédéric Boutoulle, Professor of Medieval History at Bordeaux-Montaigne University, UMR Ausonius

As part of: European Heritage Days and celebrating 20 years of Saint-Emilion being a UNESCO World Heritage Site
