When to visit ?


From January 6, 2020 to Mai 3, 2020 
Daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm.
Exceptional closings on January 6,13,20,27, 2020.
From May 4, 2020 to August 30, 2020 
Daily from 10.00am to 7.00pm.
From August 31, 2020 to January 3, 2021 
From Monday to Friday excluding school holidays: open from 10.00am to 6.00pm.
Weekends, bank holidays and school holidays: open from 10.00am to 7.00pm.
Closing on December 25.


La Cité du Vin Boutique 
Open at 10.30am during La Cité du Vin's opening days.
Closed 30 minutes after the exhibition areas.
Latitude20 Wine Cellar  Open from 10.00am to 7:30pm during La Cité du Vin's opening days.
Latitude20 Brasserie-Wine bar  From Monday to Saturday from 12.00am to 7.00pm.
Latitude20 Snack-Coffee 
Same opening hours as La Cité du Vin.

Monday to Sunday: open for lunch. On Friday and Saturday: open also for dinner.


How long does it take to visit the Permanent Exhibition?


The Permanent Exhibition is very rich in content - prepare your visit and don’t get caught out!

  • Short of time? Opt for one of the 4 one-hour themed tours (free brochures available at the entrance to the Exhibition).
  • Plenty of time to spare? The average visit to the Permanent Exhibition takes between 2 and 3 hours, to discover the 19 areas at your own pace.
  • An absolute fan? Spend a whole day here! The Permanent Exhibition has up to 10 hours of content, so there is never a dull moment!

Don’t forget! Whatever the length of your visit, set some time aside to go the Belvedere (8th floor) and taste a glass of wine while admiring a panoramic view of Bordeaux, included in your ticket.

La Cité du Vin offers dedicated access for disabled visitors.

A left luggage service for small bags measuring less than H90xL40xW52 is available (larger sizes are not accepted).


Animals are not permitted inside La Cité du Vin. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed.

In the framework of the Vigipirate heightened security plan, bags will be checked at the entrance of the building.
Kick scooters are prohibited inside the building.
