This wine culture workshop invites you to a topsy-turvy wine tasting: taste before smelling, smell before seeing, test your senses, experiment and learn!
During this hour-long workshop you will taste three wines, calling on each of the senses used in wine tasting in turn: sight, smell and taste. You will leave feeling more confident in your tasting abilities!
- Multi-sensory workshop:
Seated comfortably in an immersive space (360° images, lights, sounds and smells), embark on a journey to the heart of the world’s markets and experiment with pairings between virtual food and real wines. From Asia to America, you will travel four continents with a blind tasting of four wines, immersed in the ambient sounds and smells of the world’s markets.

Come and sample Bordeaux, its history and its identity. Each vineyard’s reputation is built on a style, terroirs, grape varieties, expertise and methods developed by men and women over the course of centuries.

La Cité du Vin’s reading room offers a wide selection of literary, historic, artistic and even anthropological works relating to the world of wine. This free area open to all also provides access to more than 1600 works echoing the permanent tour.
