The city of Bordeaux is full of attractions, each more instagrammable than the next. Based on TripAdvisor’s 40 top-rated activities, places and establishments in Bordeaux, and in combination with their respective hashtags, we were able to establish the top 5 most instagrammable spots in Bordeaux.

Not surprisingly, the Water Mirror and Place de la Bourse come out on top, featured 116,685 times between them. In just a few years, these two iconic places have become symbols of Bordeaux's revival.

The reflections of the Water Mirror and the classical architecture of Place de la Bourse are ideal for original compositions and reflections to enhance the Instagram account of any visitor.

In second position we find the Grand Théâtre, with 32,842 comments. The masterpiece of architect Victor Louis, the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux was opened on 7 April 1780. Today, it is a highlight of Bordeaux with its refined, complex architecture in the neoclassical style.

The building's scale, columns and exceptional architecture make the Grand Théâtre a must for creating impressive photographs.

In third place on the podium is La Cité du Vin, with 24,700 comments! A worthy representative of modern architecture, La Cité du Vin has become one of the city's landmarks just two years after its opening. Located in the Bassins à Flot district on the banks of the Garonne, its exterior and interior architecture is fascinating, and its changing colour and completely different profiles according to the angles of view provide a new playground for any amateur or professional photographer.

Whatever your architectural knowledge, the building leaves nobody indifferent!

In fourth place is the Jardin Public, with 24,560 comments. Spanning over 10 hectares, the Jardin Public lies in the heart of Bordeaux, giving everybody the chance to escape the daily pressures of city life.

In fifth place is the Darwin eco-system with 24,500 comments. Built on the former Niel Military Barracks on the right bank, Darwin has made a name for itself as one of the trendiest places in Bordeaux. Combining companies and events, Darwin is not just a place for shops, it is also a socially and environmentally-committed living space.
